To Do/To Done List

dreamaastridWork: SFR MLPs to finish changes to today.
House:
Living Room- Xmas tree is down – Darling husband put it outside Friday, swept vacuumed and he dusted the entire living room – Yeah! I put away all the ornaments, Xmas decorations, lights, etc. Swear to God though, I will find one lonely Xmas thing this week. That always happens, all the boxes are stored away and I find the one little thing that was forgotten. New toys are in the family room, or in the big box of toys to go to Grandma’s house, toys she has outgrown are in the basement, and toys that are too old for her are also in the basement until it is time.
The living room looks so empty and awesome because it is "CLEAN"!! For the mother of a one year old whose house has been a wreck for the past year and 9 months, this is a major accomplishment. On my to do list still is: paint the ceiling medallion for the Living Room so we can hang the ceiling fan.
Master Bedroom Sat we drained the waterbed and set up the new bed. I washed tons of sheets and bedding this past weekend. I cleaned all the wood furniture; steam cleaned the carpet, carpet-freshed and frebreezed the room. Hubby hung shades, but we still need to go pick out curtain rods to hang the curtains, but the bedroom looks great, except for a few spots I can’t get out of the carpet - will spot clean them and scrub them more this week.
So it has been two nights that we have been sleeping in our own "big people" room (previously known as the cats' room). And the rugrat has been sleeping in her room by herself. This has been wonderful. The new bed is so big & comfy, the new comforter so plush. Evidently (according to dh) I’ve slept right through the cats jumping and stepping on me.
Baby’s room All of our stuff is getting moved out and into our room. All her Xmas and Bday clothes have been washed and hung by size in her closet. All the bedding got washed for the spare bed in her room, the room is picked up and getting organized. So just need to put the last coat of clear coat on the baby's furniture which didn’t get done this past weekend, due to being stuck in VA because of the ice storm. Oh and we need to hang the huge stuffed animal – “Dragon” she has from the ceiling. Otherwise it takes up half the bed. And still have a stonewall stencil to do in the kid’s room.
Kitchen - a light fixture to hang in the kitchen, holes to patch and paint.
I’m just very happy we got so much done and the house looks so much nicer. Hope to keep the momentum going and get bunches more done this week.
