According to the dictionary:

Contentment - a state of happiness and satisfaction
"Contentment, or the state of being content, is about peaceful satisfaction"

Happiness - feeling of showing pleasure
"Happiness is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment. When people are successful, or safe, or lucky, they feel happiness."
"Happiness is self-contentedness. - Aristotle"

Feeling Alive - feeling emotions like excitement, joy, happiness, love, etc.
"enjoying and experiencing life" not "going through the motions"

Complacency - settling for good enough
"self-satisfaction accompanied by actual dangers or deficiencies"

For me contentment is something I now have most of the time at this point of my life. I'm content with what I've accomplished and achieved, and with the life I've built for myself. I find joy in things I already have, and realize I have everything I need to be happy.  Contentment is something I didn't have when I was younger (in my 20s & early 30s) but now I'm pretty content and happy.

Feeling alive is something different for me, it is more things I do, more physical activities, things that quicken my pulse as it were.  And my definition of complacency is laziness:  not being satisfied but also not being willing to work to change my situation & blaming others for my shortcomings.

Here are a few examples of how I would classify things that make me feel content & happy vs. things that make me feel alive:

Feeling Content, Happy & Accomplished:
1. Spending Time with Family & Friends & Pets
2. Reading a Novel
3. Watching a Good Movie
4. Eating a Fine Meal
5. Sitting by a Roaring Fire
6. Completing a Project or Accomplishing a Task
7. Balancing my Checkbook (sometimes it is just the little things)

Feeling Alive:
1. Travel & Exploring
2. Ocean Breeze on my face
3. Swimming
4. Riding a roller coaster or amusement park ride
5. Boating or Kayaking
6. Skiing
7. Tubing
8. Skating
etc.

And I believe we should all strive to not become complacent with our lives:
