The day after Xmas and back at work

Xmas Eve went fantastic. My husband finally got his calendars printed for his parents and they loved them. His (17 yr old)sister was showing off pictures of our daughter to all her friends.

The commotion Xmas eve at dh's grandmothers was tremendous. With all the grandkids, and three greatgrandkids ages 6mos., almost 1 yr (next week!), and 18 mos. it was chaos. The evening at his Uncle's house afterwards was wonderful. Darling daughter - put bows in a plastic cup, took them out of the cup, and put them back in the cup for almost an hour. It was really amazing what she enjoyed.

Xmas day started off at home in the AM. We took a million pictures and she loved ripping up the wrapping paper and since it was just the three of us and only 4 gifts she actually played with them all. We headed over to the my husband's mom about 11am. But our daughter had enough of presents after just a few (MIL bought no less than 25 gifts for the poor kid) and our daughter actually started pushing gifts away. It was almost as if she was saying, "I've had enough make it stop". So with all the overstimulation, dh and I opened the rest of her presents and she played with one of the toys she got from her grandma, but really wanted to play with grandma's new red phone rather than her own presents.

We then went back to my husband's grandmothers for Xmas dinner and our daughter had her dad, her grandfather and great-grandfather doting on her for the next few hours. Then off for dessert at my cousins - to see my family.

She was so exhausted by the end of the day, she was crying and whiney before we left my cousin's house. She whimpered herself to sleep and woke up about 1/2 dozen times last night. Think we overdid a bit much, she was over-tired to the nth degree. Poor little one.

Hope she's back to her normal happy self this weekend. Still have a few friends to visit for the holiday. Have friends with a 6 month old girl we are visiting tomorrow, and friends with a 2 month old boy we are visiting on Sunday. So finish up the holiday celebrations with our friends this weekend, and then back to my husband's grandma for dinner New Years day.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and has a wonderful New Years. And I'm so glad my husband got the blasted calendars printed - he told me that I should of just ordered them because he HATED fighting the computer to print them. (he he he...)

I hope that in refering to me as "dh", that's not "dickhead".

Could be. Just wondering.
