World Domination

Dave's first step in his plan for world domination is complete. As of last night, he now holds his first elected position. He is now a much afeared "Board Member" for our HOA.

We watched "Stalin", "Attila the Hun" and "Alexander the Great" on the history channel over the weekend. Coincidence? I think NOT!

Now he has POWER and AUTHORITY!

He can tell the neighbors to:
Clean up their dog's poop,
Pay their HOA fees on time,
and most importantly that they can NOT plant flowers outside of the designated flower beds without written permission.

(insert maniacal laughter here)

so what nickname can we find for him? how does "Dave the Diabolical" sound? (he he)

Hope he's a lot better than our HOA Board members... We've been trying to get the stupid siding and roofing stuff done for FOUR MONTHS and they keep losing our samples, forgetting to get back to us, etc.

They claim that after a month without a negative, you can just assume a positive response and go ahead and get the work done. However, when the neighbors across the street did that, the next thing the HOA did was slap a lien on them for changing their roof color.

Sorry if I'm significantly pissed off at HOA's right about now. And since they meet on the same night as one of our rehearsals, and never post exactly WHERE they're meeting to boot, it becomes very difficult to actually become a part of the process. Last time we tried to attend a meeting, we discovered that the meeting place had been shut down for a couple of weeks, and nobody ever told us where the actual meeting was.

I too am a political wife now. ;-) Hubby campaigned and was ~elected~ the President of the HOA, and the headaches for him have not ceased since.
