20th HS Reunion
Oct. 4th, 2004 10:52 amI really think the reunion turned out really nice. Dave and I went to the dinner/dance Saturday night and the kid's picnic on Sunday.
Saturday night I was amazed at who showed up and who I was expecting to see that couldn't make it. And feel like my brain is really fuzzy, so many familiar faces that I couldn't remember who they were, recognized the names on the name tags, but feel bad there were people that remembered me that I just could not place. But of course there were a few that I remembered that couldn't place me, so that did make me feel better. And people that once I saw their name tag I remembered them.
The people I did really remember were Fred Hayes (I believe the only other person from my junior high) who is a computer network guy at UofM, Greg and Nora Wright, Karen Bonistalli (with her hubby), Joanne & Margo, Eric Flores who is a lawyer with the Navy (with his wife), Cindy Bierman (who brought her hubby and 1 week old baby boy), Denise, Greg Fieldson, etc. etc. Lots of familiar faces, lots of what do you do now? are you married? where do you live? how many kids do you have? Classmates living in the DC metro area, Annapolis, Mass., Florida, California, etc. etc.
Would have loved to have seen Susan Kirkham, Eddie "Maio", Laura Mann, David Barclay, Anne Sucher, Tonya Thielke, Toni Bender, just to name a few... but I know that not everyone can make these things. Maybe they'll be at our 25th??
I helped with the kids games on Sunday and since our school mascot was a "Raider" even got the hubby to dress as a pirate, but now I really owe him.
The Kids Games we ended up doing were:
1. Pinata
2. Freeze dance
3. Balloon relay race
And the kids seemed to enjoy the pirate theme, so I'll try to upload pictures of the kids with bandannas, eye patches & pirate tattoos later this week. And the Parrot Pinata seemed to be the thing all the kids loved the most - with candy and pirate loot. And I got to see Kristin Hines' kids, Helen Webb's kids, Karen Blue's kids... and many more... but damn my brain/memory is shutting down again... wish I was better with names... But I did get to give them pirate tattoos and watch them pop balloons, and really beat on a pinata....
I'm so tired this morning... (arrrrr..)
