Housing prices still skyrocketing

DC metro area homes have increased in value 70.94% in the past 5 years, 15.43% in the past year
Baltimore metro area homes have increased in value 55.83% in the past 5 years, 15.61% in the past year

In fact one house in our neighborhood that sold for $249,000 in 2000 just was listed for $419,000 a few weeks ago.... jeez...

We were just looking at the housing prices last night... Damn scary, almost.
I'm just glad we bought when we did. There are townhouses in our area that are selling for more than we bought our house for now.
