My daughter

Two big accomplishments this week:
1) She can drink from a straw (as of Sun night at dinner)
You know how if you put a straw in liquid and put your finger
on the end the liquid will stay in the straw when you pull it
out of the glass? and then you can take your finger off and
the liquid will come out?
Well we tried that to give our daughter some milk when we forgot
to take her sippy cup with (to dinner). And she would open
her mouth and let the liquid come down the straw. We tried
that a bunch and then tried giving her the straw while in the
cup and she sucked.
Had to let her have it for only a few seconds and then pull
it away though - otherwise she'd keep sucking and not swallow
and the milk would all dribble down her chin. She's still
not good at sucking and swallowing, can only do one or the
other. but more practice.
2) Here she comes just a walking (she did the width of the room Tues..)
now we are afraid, very afraid....
She walks like a drunk sailor or her daddy "the end of the day at faire" and falls down a lot but she's doing it...
