Ended up being a non-scheduled 3 day weekend for me. My dh (darling husband) mentioned it in his posts but for those that want my version:

Had to stay home Friday with "Pukey-girl" aka my daughter. My hubby's post described the exploding vomit girl's Thursday night. So Friday was spent home with sick baby. Not only did she wake up to her head under a faucet, with mom & dad washing her hair, but she got her hair washed three times over the course of the day before I could get the smell out.

Evidently it is a bug going around her day-care. At least 1/2 dozen other infectious rug-rats had it over the weekend and 2 day care workers.

Sat am, we took the rugrat to the dr. for her re-check for her ear infection from the beginning of the month. Ears don't look bad, but don't look good either. She is NOT currently on antibiotics, and the doctor wants to do a wait and see. Over prescribing the antibiotics isn't what we need - then we get the thrush and the yeast infections. So hopefully the ear (left ear) will clear up and not get infected again.

Of course after a full day home Friday, the little one (LO) is feeling great by Sat, happy and smiley and back to her normal self. So Sat we did a few hours at the zoo since the weather was gorgeous. Of course us and every parent with a child in the Baltimore area seemed to be there. Our little one actually noticed a few of the animals this time - the Prairie Dogs and the Penquins. She seemed to like their antics, but mostly she was busy watching the other kids.

We went to the Organic Grocery store on our way home from the zoo. Got organic snacks for the LO, got an organic frozen veggie lasagna that I had for lunch today - not bad. Got swordfish and buffalo meat and dark chocolate. It is maybe a twice a year adventure in that store but quite interesting. An absolutely wonderful dinner of grilled fish that the hubby made.

Sunday, the dh went to the forge to blacksmith, while the LO and myself napped. A damn nice 2 1/2 hr mid-day nap. Damn I needed that. Got up, threw some laundry in, showered, and took the LO shopping for new shoes. Screwing the old ones on her feet while shoving really hard I could tell they were a wee bit too small. So we got her little feet measured and low and behold she is a size bigger now. Woo Hoo! New Shoes!

Unfortunately the shoe store is right next door to a children's clothing store - so she got a new outfit to match her shoes :) Well, picture day is coming up in a few weeks and we are all ready - the outfit even has a matchy hat :-) and matchy socks :-)

Let's see stopped by and visited a few friends last night, and then once we got home I swapped laundry and watched about an hour of the Oscars before turning in. LOTR - Yeah!!

anyway that's about it! other than the pukey-kid the rest of the weekend was really nice and the weather was beautiful. Need another gorgeous weekend just like that again real soon!
