dreamaastridDid a prelim of our 2003 Federal - looks like the refund we are getting is just enough to cover all the car repairs we charged in Nov/Dec (remember the alternators - Thanksgiving from hell/truck engine/etc.)
So we won't be ahead, but we'll be even and the credit cards will be back to zero - Yeah!!!
And doing taxes was so much fun
1. Dependant Flexible Spending Account Form - fill out 2 pages of forms to put a big "Zero" on line blah on the 1040 - is that a waste or what?
2. And even more fun was reading the instructions for the form 1099G. Read instructions for hours to figure it out - they kept all of our MD refund last year to pay a prior year owed to MD, and part of our Fed refund to pay the same bill. But of course they took the amount from both refunds and then had to pay us back because they took out double what they should have. And the amounts they kept are taxable income you have to report - and then you have to deduct the prior year taxes they paid... So add the amount in to subtract it back out. WTF?
Convinced jackasses invented the forms.... and the instructions....
Still need to figure State... next weekend? joy fun... brain will explode....
