Curtains & Blinds
Mar. 22nd, 2005 02:15 pmLets see we've had drapes in the Family Room since the 19th of Feb. and wooden blinds in the Kitchen since the 12th of March. Now I've gone and ordered drapes for the Living Room/Dining Room - still need to get the lace sheers and triple rods. So strange since Easter we will have been in the house 3 years and we're finally getting curtains in all the rooms downstairs, it is almost like we've finished moving in? like in "The Incredibles" when they are finally moved in after she unpacks the last box, years after they've lived in the house - don't know when we'll see that day. But it does feel good to finally have real curtains instead of just paper shades.
And when we get the Living Room/Dining Room drapes up I'm sure the rooms will look entirely different think Victorian style "English Rose" Floral curtains with Heirloom Lace sheers beneath..
So still on the "House to do" list - we still have ceiling fans that we've bought to install. And the very last room that we use every day, that we need to tackle: the computer room. It needs blinds and bookshelves/cabinets. So NOT like we've run out of projects yet. And then paint, wallpaper, borders, etc. - Baby M's room is the only room that is done on that level. But I do think we are finally getting to the point that we're deciding what we want to do with each room. So we won't have all white walls forever.
We will eventually replace all the ugly "Ryland" light fixtures, get our tapestry for the foyer, have the basement bar built, have a deck with a hottub on the patio beneath it, and even trees in the backyard and a playhouse/swingset for the little one.
Hmmmm... so many projects.... so many more ideas.... no f*(&ing time to get them done....
