1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Raised a kid from scratch, like they let us bring it (her) home the 1st day of the year and then we kinda had an experiment of poof here is a brand new baby, take it home, don’t break it, and see if what you can do with it.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Never made any, was just busy with answer #1 all year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yep, it is frightening but all our friends and some of our relatives are spawning. Our friends Darby & Andrew had a little boy in Feb. Girl at work I have lunch with had a baby girl, end of Feb. Our friend Diane (webcrew) had a boy, in June. My husband’s cousin had a boy in July. My hubby’s best friend had a little girl in July. Our friend’s Anne & Mike (more web crew) had a girl end of July. Our friends, Will & Steph had a little boy in Oct. And my cousin, Denielle had girl end of November. And lastly our friends Joy and Paul, who had a little girl last Dec 22, 2002 – therefore haven’t seen much of them ‘cause they’ve been busy with new baby. Had another little one this year - a little boy this December.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily, no.

5. What countries did you visit?
The U S of A?

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
A TIG welder for my hubby.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Memory? The baby ate that….

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not letting the kid kill herself.

9. What was your biggest failure?
No failures.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Um, nope.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A teeny little kilt and tam for my daughter, she’s getting them for Xmas.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My husband’s. He’s the best daddy ever…

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one of mention – I guess I tune out those that are appalling and depressing.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage! Then car, car repairs, truck repairs. Then baby.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
She said “da da” and “ma ma” and she’s a walking…

16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
Brahm’s Lullaby.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier, I’m not puking anymore.
ii. Smaller or larger? Much much smaller – the kid is on the outside
iii. richer or poorer? poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Sleep.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Waking in the middle of the night.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With lots of family

22. Did you fall in love in 2003?
Yep, with this little person that has her parents wrapped. And with my husband again – got to see this entire new side of him, now that he is a daddy.

23. How many one-night stands?
None. – dumb question.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Stargate.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

26. What was the best book you read?
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone..

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Lullabies help us all sleep better.

28. What did you want and get?
A baby.

29. What did you want and not get?
Nothing.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
LOTR III.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
37 and went to dinner with the grandparents (My husband’s mom & stepdad) at Michael’s Café.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More sleep.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
It fits – woo hoo! And it don’t smell funky!

34. What kept you sane?
Work. ‘Cause I could be someone other than “mommy” or “wife” there.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
none

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
none

37. Who did you miss?
My Aunt Kay. She died 2002.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Not sure, Miss Bonnie, Miss Joan and Miss Linda – the wonderful ladies that watch my baby all day.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:
Babies aren’t as bad or difficult as we thought they would be.

We're on the leading edge of the next Baby Wave. People are actually asking me for advice on being a parent. Something seem not quite right with the world these days?

23. How many one-night stands?
Hell, we can barely get a mid-afternoon stand. And by then we're too tired to stand. Hell with it, we'll try again after my nap.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Star Something. Wars, Trek, or Gate, but not Search.

34. What kept you sane?
That implies that I am. Next question.
