Busy and exhausting weekend

Friday -
Unexpected Car malfunction and unexpected vacation day blown waiting most the day for tow truck (or it just seemed that way!)

Sat -
Hubby mowed grass in the AM before we could leave for faire
12:30 - 4:00 Faire
4:00 Left faire to go to a 2nd bday for Baby M's daycare classmate
5:30 - 7:00 bday party/picnic at playground with pizza/cake/balloons/bubbles, etc.
7:00 head home
7:30 home
8:30 hubby gets home from faire and we put kid to bed

Sun -
11:15 Faire - see most of the "Stupina" girlie show at Gatehouse stage and "Katherine's story"
I have now seen Katherine's Story, Anne's Arrest and Jane's Betrothal (Yeah!)
If I can ever make gate again I will try to see the Royal Arrival at the Market Stage
(getting up early on the weekends is very rough)
5:00 Left faire to go to bestfriend's party at her house
6:00 Got to Mary's house stayed until 8:45
8:45 drove home and put little one to bed as soon as we got home...
seems like it was a long and busy weekend


Good News Bad News about next weekend:

Bad News first - the family reunion BBQ has been postphoned till Spring because of Hurricane Ivan and all the rain that should hit VA next weekend.
and Good News - We can stay at faire all weekend and don't have to leave early either day! YEAH!
and for Scottish weekend we should have that good Scottish weather, need to get a rain coat/rain poncho for the rugrat...
and we can dance in the mud puddles!

You don't have to make Gate to see the Royal Arrival, it's not until 11am.

But you *do* have to make it shortly afterwards (nearish 10:30... might be 10:20) if you want to catch the first "appearance" of Robin Hood, and his fight with Sir Guy, the deputy.
