clothing thoughts..

Queen Maggie thank you for the links! Yes, you hit the nail on the head: classic, traditional non-trendy petites is what I'm looking for. Thank you!

I have both a Lands End and Coldcreek Catalog at home - just wish there was a store I could walk into to try it on. But Lands End do NOW have custom order pants that you put in your measurements and they make them to fit - I will try that and let you know.

And just because I posted this - last night when I got home there was an Eddie Bauer catalog in the mail. They now (as of this catalog) have a bunch of different fits in pants (low hip hugger and also stuff with normal waists - YEAH!!) and I really think their Blakely style will work for me - it has a normal height waist and is one size smaller in the waist then in the hips, since I have a 13 inch difference.

But about the only clothing store I can walk into and actually try a few things on that fit that I'd want to buy is Casual Corner or Petite Sophisticate (which is owned by Casual Corner). But it is the only place I've bought clothes for work the past few years and I was hoping there would be more choices out there.

Oooh! If you do order the pants from Lands End, let me know how well they work! I noticed that the price wasn't bad at all, for any pants, much less pants to the right measurement. (And I really dislike the pants I ended up buying for work out of desperation... just think polyester knit.. with elastic waist (which I can live with, but...))

I keep debating whether to try that or not. I haven't had luck finding *any* other pants that *fit* (without falling off, or giving me a wedgie... seems to be an either-or deal here..).
