Hobbies
Have you had the same hobbies for years or changed many of your hobbies as you aged? Are many of your friends really into their hobbies? What hobbies do you enjoy, what hobbies do you no longer enjoy, what hobbies do you enjoy but don't currently have time or the $$ to pursue, what hobbies do your friends and family enjoy? Are you really into sports, music, art, crafts, reenacting, gaming, etc?
Right now I'm enjoying:
My 8 yr. old also does these with me.
She is also taking classes in:
And lasty, she is also doing:
In the past, I've tried cross-stitch, sewing, plexiglass art, painting with acrylics, drawing, cycling, boating, waterskiing, snow-skiing, colonial re-enactment, pottery painting, violin, mandolin, etc.
My husband has tried chainmail, blacksmithing, wood lathing, furniture upholstery, colonial re-enactment and even fencing.
My brother and my husband's best friend are really into cars and have been for years. He always has multiple project cars and they are always in various stages of restoration.
My cousin is also a car person, and even has one that he races. He also does model railroading.
I have many friends (male & female) into reenacting and gaming.
I have many female friends and female family members that are really into gardening, spinning, crocheting and knitting right now. Like these are the "in" hobbies to be doing.
I also have a few friends that are scrapbookers, collectors (comic books, stamps, coins, antiques, etc.), photographers, and painters.
I also have some friends that don't do hobbies. They go to work, come home, spend time with their families and that is about it.
Just wondering what your favorite hobbies are, and what you notice those around you doing.

no subject
My father was a model railroader. He probably still would, if they had the space. He also keeps a garden.
My husband is a gamer (D&D) and a Builder of Worlds. And plays computer games along those lines. And is an overall history buff.
My son takes karate, and swimming, and is getting into Boy Scouts. He is also a Builder of Worlds, using his model trains and matchbox cars and whatever else is at hand to build Walt Disney World one weekend, and the Cars2 race the next (it was epic--ranged all over the house). He is also not afraid of the glue stick or construction paper, or even yarn, if it serves what he wants to do. I'm not sure if any of this counts as hobbies on his part yet, but I think he will have a good foundation for whatever hobbies he chooses.
