Damn - so tired today!
Feb. 3rd, 2005 09:39 amI feel so very old - not used to staying up past 10pm on a weeknight. Was up until almost 11:30 last night, and for a very good reason.
For those of you that know my best friend, Mary, she is now engaged!! Her boyfriend Bryan asked her last night. He picked her up from her work in a limo, complete with champagne, flowers, etc., proposed when he picked her up from work down on one knee with a poem and ring (and what a beautiful ring it was too!) - took her out for dinner someplace in the Inner Harbor and was Mr. Romantic..
And in the meantime - many of her friends were back at her house waiting for them to return to her house. So about a dozen of us were at her house to surprise her when they got back from their big date. Tara decorated the house with streamers and party decorations, and had munchies for everyone. Dave and I got MIL to babysit our LO and had a big bottle of champagne for a toast.
A good evening was had by all. We got Baby M picked up from the in-laws around 10pm and she was still awake (2 hours past her bedtime). Got home and to bed way too late! Yawn... Yawn... Drinking caffeine this morning. Swear I hit that snooze a 1/2 dozen times this morning and I'm still exhausted. The LO actually woke in a good mood though.
Tired but very very happy for my best bud. And she did ask me to be her Matron of Honor. So I'll be busy..
