W2's are hosed
Jan. 31st, 2005 02:01 pmProblem One - Okay I live in MD, have lived in MD all of last year at the same address and did NOT move. Got my W-2s from work - one for MD and one for PA. They've fucked it up - imagine? And the PA amount of wages is 0.02.
Problem Two - My MD wages should be the same as my federal wages. They are not. They are not off by .02. NOPE!!! They are off by $29,162.26. Why that amount - no clue. But if I actually made $29,000 more I told HR they could cut me a check for that amount. I won't mind.
Anyway, I'm not the only one. At least two other people in my department have W-2s that are messed up. They both live in PA, haven't moved all year and their state/local/township/city taxes are messed up. One of my co-workers has W-2s for three different cities. Considering his house hasn't moved someone in payroll has really screwed this up...
Would be so nice to have things corrected so I can file my taxes ASAP. Was only waiting for my W-2s to send everything in. Guess I'll wait a little longer.
And Payroll told my boss' boss that these are just isolated incidents. If this is true why is it always me? I had problems with them doing the MD/PA thing two years ago as well. Dipshits! But the big dollar mistake - no clue.
Figure I'll call them tomorrow and find out if it is fixed yet and what they did....
